In 1968, an experienced and well-respected Kansas petroleum geologist formed an operating company with a Wichita area land man. Their mission? Drill a 12-well exploration program in central Kansas. Six of those 12 wells were then successfully completed as oil and gas producers.

Today, more than 40 years later, Oil Producers, Inc. of Kansas is still pumping two of the original wells.

Through yearly drilling programs and targeted acquisitions of existing production, we now operate wells in 31 Kansas counties throughout the central and southwestern regions of the state. Plus we have a few dozen wells in the adjacent areas of Oklahoma.

With executive offices in Wichita, and field operations based out of Greensburg and Liberal, we’re well-positioned for continued growth as new areas are brought into production. We’re especially poised for growth as improved technology enhances the recovery from existing oil and natural gas fields.
